Inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean, the cooking reflects a deep respect for tradition while embracing the rhythms of modern London, offering specialty za’atar croissants and halva brownies with roasted aubergine salad and labneh with poached eggs. Many of the ingredients are specially imported from Syria, such as Medjool dates, tahini, and spices, bringing an authentic taste of the region to London.

Signature dishes include: claypot rice; ‘Magic Soup’, a nourishing, slow-cooked mainstay of Cantonese home cooking; and beloved winddried meats. To pair, a thoughtfully curated wine list focuses on cool-climate wines, championing family-owned producers and celebrating biodynamic practices with pours that demonstrate the versatility of wines with Chinese dishes. In addition, a unique cocktail list, playing on unexpected Chinese flavours like sweet and sour and pickled ginger.

Located at the Waterloo Bridge entrance of Somerset House, Setlist sits within the site’s vibrant creative community. The food offering brings together an outstanding line-up of female chefs - Sophie Wyburd, Andrea Montes Renaud, Laura Copp, and Terri Merciec -creating a dynamic menu that reflects the best of London’s food scene. Regular pop-ups, guest chefs, and a summer BBQ series will run throughout the season.
