    Somerset House's cafes, restaurants, and bars provide plenty of ways to refresh, relax and refuel at the Fair.

      Eastern Mediterranean

      Inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean, the cooking reflects a deep respect for tradition while embracing the rhythms of modern London, offering specialty za’atar croissants and halva brownies with roasted aubergine salad and labneh with poached eggs. Many of the ingredients are specially imported from Syria, such as Medjool dates, tahini, and spices, bringing an authentic taste of the region to London.

      Situated just off the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court, the café offers a diverse menu throughout the day, catering to both grab-and-go and dine-in experiences. The menu showcases grab-and-go breakfast items, plant-first lunch options, and an all-vegan drinks list - as well as a a range of home condiments available for purchase exclusively from the café.

      Signature dishes include: claypot rice; ‘Magic Soup’, a nourishing, slow-cooked mainstay of Cantonese home cooking; and beloved winddried meats. To pair, a thoughtfully curated wine list focuses on cool-climate wines, championing family-owned producers and celebrating biodynamic practices with pours that demonstrate the versatility of wines with Chinese dishes. In addition, a unique cocktail list, playing on unexpected Chinese flavours like sweet and sour and pickled ginger.

      Located at the Waterloo Bridge entrance of Somerset House, Setlist sits within the site’s vibrant creative community. The food offering brings together an outstanding line-up of female chefs - Sophie Wyburd, Andrea Montes Renaud, Laura Copp, and Terri Merciec -creating a dynamic menu that reflects the best of London’s food scene. Regular pop-ups, guest chefs, and a summer BBQ series will run throughout the season.

      Led by Skye Gyngell, former head chef at the Michelin-starred Petersham Nurseries, Spring is housed in a restored 19th Century drawing room previously closed to the public for 150 years. A daily-changing menu of seasonal British food with an extensive wine list supplemented by inventive cocktails, seasonal juices, and house-made liqueurs and minerals.
